Start of the season. Beautiful late summer days with several opportunities to spot the first whales arriving on the coast of Ilhéus, Bahia, Brazil.

Peak season. Most of the adults have arrived and we're having a breaching festival! Demand is extremely high and we're generally sold out.
07 Aug to 07 Sept
Peak season. The ideal month with many whales. Calf birthing season. Up to 50 whales sighted per day!
15 Sept to 30 Sept
Peak season. Calves are more independent, curious, and playful! Summer is back with beautiful days!
01 Oct to 31 Oct
End of the season. Several beautiful sunny days with blue waters and still several pairs of females with their calves. Sometimes we are surrounded by several groups!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
WHAT DURATION?
The tour lasts a total of 4 hours, departing at 7:30 am or 1:00 pm. Up to 30 minutes with each group of whales. Water and fruit are included.
HOW CLOSE?
We can approach within 100m (300 feets) of the group without ever chasing. From that point on, it's up to the whales to choose whether they want to get any closer.
RAIN AND WIND
We confirmed the weather forecast the day before. In case of bad weather, we will reschedule for another date or issue a full refund.
WHERE IS IT?
In Ilheus, Bahia, Brazil itself. Departing from the Ilheus Yacht Club. We sail between 8 and 15 km from the coast. For optional transfers, contact our team at (73) 99977-6437
WILL I SEE A WHALE?
Like any activity involving nature, there's no guarantee of results, but at the peak of the season we've had a 97% success rate over the last five years.
CAN I CANCEL?
Yes, you can cancel for free up to 24 hours in advance! Your reservation is WITHOUT COMMITMENT. Take advantage of it.
FINDING THE WHALES
We look for the whale blow that appears on the horizon each time the whale breathes. Then it's just a matter of following the direction!
